Is the best way to get your Valentine to fall in love with you to purchase her a life insurance policy?  A recent study suggests that may be the case.

According to the nonprofit LIFE foundation, more than half of Americans surveyed said that they would feel loved if their significant other named them as a beneficiary in a life insurance policy they purchased.  Sure, it’s not exactly a bouquet of roses.  But if the results of the survey are correct, Americans are longing for financial security far more than they’re longing for a giant heart-shaped box of chocolates.

In fact, 75% of Americans surveyed said they would give up their Valentine’s Day gift in exchange for more financial security.

There may not be a need to shop around for the lowest price on a teddy bear holding a little heart, but you should definitely shop around for the lowest priced life insurance quotes before surprising your loved one for Valentine’s Day with a shiny new policy.
